Job Description

Main Purpose of the Role:

To act as an underwriter on behalf of insurers while enhancing broker relationships both internally and externally.

Duties to include:

• Ensure that broker instructions and enquiries are handled in a timely and customer focused manner and prioritise work accordingly.
• Operate within binding agreements of delegated authorities.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and secure business with consideration of client needs.
• Complete file audits.
• Develop relationships with agents to improve customer service standards and to respond to their needs.
• Visit agents to develop new and/or existing relationships.

To be successful in this role you will be:

• Commercially experienced with a good knowledge of the marketplace and customer focused .
• Efficient and effective communicator to all levels of staff, brokers and insurers.
• Extremely organised and methodical approach to tasks with ability to pay high attention to detail.
